While everyone is feeling the month of Decem-brrrr, lets all chill out get some time to relax and do a little get-up-close-and-personal moments with our Vega Force Boys.

As promised, I'm going to be featuring a Vega Force Rider of the month to keep the blog active and for everyone to also get to know each other better and what a way to start it off is to feature one of the forefathers of the group.

*Bikers Profile*

Name: Ralph Onie T. Go
Nickname: RJ
Age: 28
Date of Birth: October 20, 1986
Location: Cebu City
VFRP member since: September 15, 2012 (Date when VFRP was founded)

What was your main reason for buying your Vega force:

My only main reason is the Looks and Modification Plans, because the Vega Force bike, especially on the Front angle is very identical with my dream bike which is the Yamaha R6 2009 model.

Most unforgettable experience with your motorbike:

Toured all the areas of the Cebu island across the North regions up to the South coast areas of Cebu.

Why join VFRP:

The Unity, Brotherhood, and Friendship is great! Every rider share the same passion and camaraderie.

Biggest achievement with your motorbike:

Became one of the Founders of Vega Force Riders Pack of Cebu and 1st VFRP President from 2012-2013 and 2013-2014.

Whats the one thing that you really really want to get for your motorcycle:

Hhhmmm, for my benefit; that would be the Freedom and Fun! And for my motorcycle – that would be a Pro Arm Suspension that I can add for my VF’s Modification soon!

What are your plans for your motorbike 2 to 3 years from now?:

More Modifications for Green Mamba and More Motorshows to join!!! LOL!

Why the name VFRP?

Before I established and founded VFRP, I started and founded the first Vega force club in Cebu back in 2011 called “Vega Force Cebu (VFC)”, had 17 total members and had two successful meetings and gathering. However, it really did not become too established and organized due to lots of members who worked in the BPO industry. Until the year 2012 came and I joined the Vega Force Riders Club Cebu Chapter Facebook page. I gathered members and some of my members from VFC and bring them in on the very 1st VFRP meeting back in September 15, 2012.

Then, we came in with the name Vega Force Riders Pack, same as a Pack of Wolves. The reason why I chose it, because I want every member to be like a Wolf, who hunts in packs and being together always as a family. That is why I came in with the motto: Unity, Brotherhood, and Friendship! We are a pack of Riders with the same motorbike. And it is not common with every motorcycle groups where there is always the word Club. I want it to be different!

How has the group changed your life?

I became busy every Saturday, especially the first few months of VFRP where I had lack of sleep, lack of time for myself because I was always looking for sponsors, busy going to the shop who makes the VFRP stickers, managing the group, busy in the recruitment process and etc. It changed my life a lot because I became responsible and became a good leader and thinking out of the box to be creative to make lots of projects for the club which you can’t find from other motorcycle clubs specially here in the Queen City of the South.

Being one of the founding members of the VFRP, what are your future plans for the group?

As always…. Members should have more on the quality rather than the number! My plans are simple and achievable, it is just to keep up with what we are doing now, like having Outreach programs, Active on motorcycle events in Cebu, Touring activities, and every Saturday – we can have 50+ members attending on VFRP EBs and Meetings. And the one I always dreamt of, being RECOGNIZED IN CEBU CITY and VFRP will become NATIONWIDE!!! In which I already have plans on achieving that. And before anything else, I would like to feature the names of the Official Pioneer VFRP members from September 15-October 15 2012 (Attended the 1st VFRP Meetings):

Harry Celeste – *VFRP Founder / 1st VFRP Treasurer
Marc Gil Ho - *VFRP Founder
Cyrus Dulpina – *VFRP Founder /1st VFRP Vice President
Ivan Lester Alarcon - *VFRP Founder
William Manaba – *VFRP Founder / VFRP Ride Captain
Marken Labajo – *VFRP Founder/ 1st VFRP Secretary
Junjie Lofranco – VFRP Councilor
Ricky Montilla – 1st VFRP Assistant Secretary
Larrie Badilla
Emil Lopez-Fuentes
Sedney Gomez
Gilo
Oloy Cabanilla
Milfred “Dred” Bonganciso
Jeff Joseph
Wendell Potot
Bob Berdz
Jeff Joseph
Clifford Diaz
Kevin Tam

Some of them might not be active anymore, but one of my main plans and goals is to remember the forefathers of VFRP. Without these people helping me in establishing and organizing this club, VFRP would not become a successful group on what it is today. I don’t want their names to be forgotten especially with lots of new members at this present date! And I appreciate their commitment and loyalty and many thanks to them!

THE PACK ATTACKS YAMAHA CLUB GRAND EYEBALL VISAYAS

Evening of the 28th of November became a night of Bikes, Babes, and Boys as Yamaha held it's first ever Yamaha Club Grand Eyeball Visayas at the Amneszia Superclub Mandaue City Cebu.

With more than 10 Yamaha Club joining and at least 650 Yamaha Club members, they all joined forces to show their Comaradarie , Passion and Unity as a member of the Yamaha Club. Organized by Kristofer Mendoza and Kristoffer Manayaga , with the support and presence of Sales and Marketing Director, Kaoru Ogura. they made sure that this would be one grand event that every member of the Yamaha Club would remember.

Among the clubs who have attended are the United Snipers Club of Cebu (USCC), South Scooters Club (SCC), All Mio Club (AMC), Yamaha Cebuana Club (YCC), FZ16 Club of Cebu, Yamaha Fino Club-Cebu (YFCC) just to name a few. Of course, the Vega Rorce Riders Pack (VFRP) would not miss this grand event as the pack gathered early in the afternoon led by Patrick Casicas who made sure that everyone was present to attend and bring the name of the Pack.

Several contests were prepared by Yamaha to make the evening more worthwhile for the bikers including Slow Drag Racing, Pizza Eating Contest, Loudest Pipe and of course Yamaha Girl of the night where in each group would have one participant for each event.

Of course, kicking off the eyeball was the introduction of all the groups who participated and dinner that Yamaha Club prepared for everyone making sure that everybody was all fueled up for the nights activities.

Once everybody had their stomachs filled, everyone gathered outside the venue to start the contest with the slow drag racing. It was Larrie Badilla who represented the pack for the race and although he was not able to grab the first prize, he made sure VFRP didn't make it last having been able to reach the semi finals round. In the end, it was the Yamaha Fino Club-Cebu who took home the first prize.

Second on their list of activities was the Loudest Pipe event that was divided into two categories, Automatic Motorcycles and Manual. VFRP's Marvin Cyrus representative the team with his Vega Force Bike but it was the United Snipers Club of Cebu who proved that they've got the loudest pipe in the road for the Manual Category. USCC was paired with the YFCC in the automatic category and got themselves the first prize.

After the contests that requires the riders' bikes, everyone went back inside the venue for the duration of the event and the next one was the very fun Pizza-Eating contest that was represented by our very own John Dryden Gabuya. He may have been the smallest among the participants but he proved himself a challenge to the bigger guys even though he was not able to win the prize.

The last part was probably the most awaited part for everyone. All throughout the gathering, several lovely ladies were already roaming around the area showcasing their beauty and poise as Yamaha Girls and by the end of the evening, they finally stood in the stage vying for the title Yamaha Biker Babe. It was a sight to behold as the ladies made sure that all eyes are on them as they walked on stage. If each of the clubs has their own Biker Babe, VFRP had Kenji Rosylle Benologa and she definitely showed everyone that she got what it takes to be called a Yamaha Girl. She may not have grabbed the title for the night, but she will always be a winner in the eyes of the Pack.

The Grand Eyeball was concluded with a fellowship night for everyone and a live band for everyone to enjoy.

With all the competition that took place , the VFRP team may not have bagged any awards but their sportsmanship, camaraderie, unity and passion definitely made them stand out for the night  . Of course everyone did not go home empty handed as Yamaha provided each attendees with a free Yamaha T-Shirt and Jenovah Magallanes finally distributed the Vega Force Riders Pack Official year-end shirts.

Ralph Go, VFRP President could not help but be thankful for the commitment that everyone gave and for the eyeball especially for those who have helped out within the event  from the registration until the end . There is certainly a bright future for the pack and with the help of the Yamaha Club, the Pack would definitely look forward for the next events to come.

Welcome to the Pack

Hi Guys, This will be the official blog site of VFRP Cebu. For any updates, events, or whatever programs that will be held shall be posted here and we will try to feature a VFRP Guy of the month. Thanks!

VFRP AND YAMAHA GOES FOR OUTREACH PROGRAM

Yamaha Inc Philippines has made itself known for providing quality, efficient , and top of the line motorcycles .

Now they have also proven themselves as a company with a heart.

Fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility, Yamaha Inc. Philippines reached out to one of their motorcycle clubs to create an outreach program that will cater to the needs of schoolchildren providing them with school supplies for their educational needs.

One club decided to help out and become the bridge for Yamaha Philippines, Vega Force Riders Pack of Cebu headed by Ralph Go, the clubs' President , Ginova Magallanes, Larrie Badilla, Harry Celeste, the senior members of the group and the rest of the members, went out of their way to lend a helping hand.

Early morning of the 21st of November, 2014 , the VFRP members set out early towards their destination, Pangdan Elementary School , Naga Cebu, carrying more than 200 supplies of bags, notebooks, pencils and crayons provided by Yamaha. Riding their Vega Force Motorcycles, it took them almost an hour to reach their destination but seeing the anticipation and the excitement from the children's faces made them forget the weariness of the journey leading them to start the gift giving right away.

One by one, they handed out the supplies to more than 200 children and tumblers to some of the faculty members. It took them the whole morning to complete the event and seeing all the kids in Pangdan Elementary School complete with their new school supplies became a whole new rewarding experience for the Vega Force Riders Pack Member that they will never forget.

" Seeing the kids smile after giving them our simple gifts made the journey here all worth wile" Harry Celeste one of the senior members of the group says.

Being their first community outreach program, they couldn't help but be thankful for the success of the event. , from the members who took their time to volunteer and to Yamaha who provided the school supplies and made all of this possible.

This only proves that Motorcycle Clubs like the Vega Force Riders Pack of Cebu are not just thinking all for fun, but they are also making sure that they can give back to the community in any way they can. Thanks Yamaha!
